AFGROW is the Air Force Crack Growth Analysis tool. The history of AFGROW can be traced all the way back to ASDGRO. A full history of AFGROW can be found on the history page. Simply put AFGROW is a program that "predicts" the life of a piece of material after it has shown the signs of cracking. This prediction is used to implement an inspection schedule so that the crack can be monitored to avoid failure yet still get the most out of each part. Back to top Who develops AFGROW? There are two major documents as well as context sensitive help associated with AFGROW. The most important document for day to day use is the AFGROW User's Guide.
